Show and Tell

We did ‘Show and Tell’ a few months ago. The whole class brought in objects to talk about. Shane brought in his tiger called Tige. Geordan brought in a picture of his cousins. Kelvin brought in his teddy bear. Callum brought in a shark. We enjoyed talking about our objects. Here are some pictures of us with our objects.

The Selfish Giant

We decided that we would do the play ‘The Selfish Giant’, based on the story by Oscar Wilde. It was on on the 12th of February. We had loads of fun practicing for the play. There were lots of flowers in the garden. The children were scared of the giant at first but then they got to like him because he put a little boy into the tree. The giant played with the children every day after school. Lots of moms and dads came to the play and they enjoyed it a lot. Here are some pictures of us practicing for the play.

Australia Day

Australia day was on the 26th of January.
We learned about the koala and the kangaroo.
Our teacher helped us to make lamingtons.
Some people brought in stuff to do with Australia.

We have been very busy making lovely art work in Mrs. Tillman's class. Here is a snapshot of some of our creative work!

Our School Tour - 15th June 2009

We visted Athenry Firestation on our school tour.

The fireman showed us all the equipment he uses.

He uses a ladder to reach up to the tall building.



We looked inside the fire engine.

We tried out the hose.

At Kardio Kids we did ceramics.


We painted snails, fish, moons and teddies.




We had lots of fun and games.
We worked up a huge appetite!
